About Bolt RV Repair
Founded in 2014 by RVIA-certified mobile RV technicians who'd watched dealership customers wait three weeks for jobs that took two hours. Florida-based, Florida-loyal.
Jesse "Marc" Marcer
I'm Jesse Marcer - everybody calls me Marc - and I've been turning wrenches on RVs since 1999. Born in Ocala, raised on weekends at Silver Springs in my granddad's old Coachmen, so I came to this honestly. After eight years as a Navy Seabee mechanic (Gulfport, then two tours doing equipment maintenance), I came home and went to work as a service writer at a big dealership down in Tampa. Made service manager by 2008. Loved the work, hated watching folks wait three weeks for a bay because the shop was overbooked.
In 2019 I left the NASCAR pit-crew electrical bench after my uncle's Class A blew an inverter at Daytona and the dealer quoted six weeks. I drove there, fixed it in an afternoon, and realized half the RV-repair industry runs on broken expectations. That's the whole reason Bolt exists - we come to you, on the day we said we would, and we tell you the truth about what your rig needs.
I'm RVIA-certified, RVDA Master Certified, and I hold an EPA 609 refrigerant license. The team's five techs are all RVIA-certified too. We're not the biggest mobile RV shop in Florida. We just want to be the one you'd recommend to your sister.
Why "Bolt"?
The name comes from how we work. Bolts are the small parts that hold a rig together - and they're also the verb for moving fast. Every service call is a bolt - get to the rig fast, fix what's broken, get you back on the road. Not a slogan, just how we operate. Six years and a thousand rigs later, that hasn't changed.
The team
Marc plus five full-time techs, all RVIA-certified. Travis (8 years with us, AC and electrical specialist), Mike (5 years, plumbing and slide-outs), and three others I'll let speak for themselves when you meet them. We run six service trucks across Florida.
The way we price
We give you a phone-quote range before scheduling. We give you an exact written quote on-site before any work starts. We don't start work without your approval. If we find something extra after we're already in the rig, we stop, show you, and quote it before we touch anything.
Service-call visit fee is $145. That gets applied against the repair if you go ahead. If you decline the work, the $145 covers our trip and the diagnostic.
Where we work
Across Florida, from the Keys to the Panhandle. 18 cities with regular weekly service. We come to your campsite, storage facility, dealer lot, or driveway. We don't have a shop you drive to. We drive to you.
What we don't do
We're honest about our limits. We don't do major chassis work (engine rebuilds, transmission overhauls) - those need a brick-and-mortar shop with a lift. We don't do bodywork (collision, frame straightening) - same reason. If you call with one of those, we'll point you to two shops we trust. - Marc
