Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-04-30
Our Commitment
Bolt RV Repair is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the technical standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice for ADA Title III digital accessibility compliance.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
boltrvrepair.com is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Fully conformant means that the content meets all WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria.
Audit Methodology
This site was audited and remediated on 2026-04-30. Methodology:
- Automated testing: pa11y 9.1 (HTML CodeSniffer engine, WCAG2AA standard) was run against representative pages including the homepage, services hub, every service template, locations hub, every city template, blog hub, blog post template, contact page, and about page.
- Color contrast verification: Every text-on-background combination in the design system was computed programmatically using the WCAG relative luminance formula and verified at 4.5:1 minimum for body text and 3:1 minimum for large text and non-text UI components.
- Manual review: Keyboard-only navigation, screen reader compatibility (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS), heading hierarchy, landmark structure, form label association, focus visibility, skip-link operation, and reduced-motion handling were all reviewed manually.
- Re-audit: After remediation, the same pa11y suite was re-run and reported zero WCAG 2.1 AA errors across all audited pages.
Specific Accessibility Features
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, aside, footer) on every page.
- Skip-to-main-content link as the first focusable element.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements (3px outline, contrast-checked against page background).
- WCAG-compliant color contrast: body text 4.5:1+, UI elements 3:1+, no failing combinations across the 54-page site.
- Full keyboard operability including the mobile drawer menu (with aria-expanded / aria-hidden state management).
- All images include descriptive alt text. Decorative icons are marked aria-hidden.
- Form inputs have associated labels, autocomplete hints, aria-required, and inputmode attributes.
- Reduced-motion support: animations are disabled for visitors with prefers-reduced-motion: reduce.
- Page language declared (lang="en") on every page.
- Unique, descriptive page titles and headings.
- Responsive layout that reflows down to 320px viewport without horizontal scroll, supports 200% text zoom without loss of content, and respects user-overridden text spacing.
Tools and Versions
- pa11y 9.1.1 (HTML CodeSniffer engine, WCAG2AA standard)
- Browsers tested: Chrome (latest), Firefox (latest), Safari (latest), Edge (latest)
- Assistive technology: NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS / iOS)
Known Limitations
Despite full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance on the pages we control, some third-party embedded content may not always meet the same standard:
- Google Maps embed (contact page): The embedded map is provided by Google. We rely on Google's own accessibility work and provide our address and phone number in plain text on the same page as a non-map alternative.
- Third-party social platform redirects: Links to Facebook, Instagram, X, Yelp, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google Business Profile take visitors to platforms operated by those companies, whose accessibility we do not control.
